Jaguar American Vintage '62 Reissue

Jaguar American Vintage '62 Reissue

Another masterpiece

Usually, when we speak about Fender we speak about a Stratocaster or a Telecaster. Today we speak about a real masterpiece, with a distinctive sound, a particular circuitry and a beautiful vintage look.

The double circuit

It is equipped with two single-coils, Special Design, and a metal shielding to reduce noise. They have been designed to reproduce the original tone of the 1960s pickups. However, the most important particularity is the double circuit.

Lead and Rhythm

These two circuits can produce a large sounds range that make the Jaguar American Vintage '62 very versatile. Certainly, this is one of the most appreciated characteristics. The 2 circuits provide a two-position switch and two controls: volume and tone. This feature allows a wider range of tones than the classic switch.

The problem of the bridge

Saddles and strings.

As you can see in the image above, the saddles are, in practice, screws, and the strings produce a very annoying noise. It's a pity, since this guitar is really an excellent instrument. The only solution to avoid this problem is the substitution of the bridge with a compatible model.

General opinion

Great quality, a unique sound, an original circuitry, a great versatility, a beautiful look. The price of the Jaguar American Vintage '62, about 2.000 euros, as regards my personal opinion, is coherent with the value of this electric guitar. Obviously we are speaking about a new instrument. Perhaps the only problem, like in the original version, is the bridge. Anyhow, the sound is really extraordinary.
