Main features
Controls
As we can see in the image above, this Zoom product is very simple and with few controls.
Effects
100, up to 5 simultaneously, organized in 5 main modules, more 5 patches that can be controlled by the expression pedal. With the help of the menù, really complete, if we consider the dimensions of this device, the user can easily modify the order of the effects, but also the type and all the parameters.
- Dynamics/Filter
Eleven patches with equalizers, compressors, filters, noise gates and wah. Some of them are emulations of well-known pedals (for instance dbx 160, MXR Dynacomp, Z. Vex Seek-Wah and Moog Filter). Obviously, the user can create his own effects with some very interesting functions, in a so small and compact device, like parametric equalization, automatic attack and a Zoom patented algorithm for noise reduction.
- Overdrive/Distortion
Twelve options. Some emulations (Fuzz Face, Marshall Guv'nor, Boss OD-1, Big Muff, Pro Co Rat and MXR Distortion+), more a simulator of acoustic guitar.
- Amp
Twenty-two, derived from the sound of the models of the most important manufacturers (Mesa Boogie, Fender, Hiwatt, Marshall, Diezel Herbert, Matchless, Orange, Bogner).
- Modulation/Special
The user can choose between sixteen different types of chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, pitch shift, vibrato. In addition there is an intelligent harmonizer (Zoom HPS), a ring modulator and an endlessy rhythmic slider. Some patches are the reproduction of the sound of very famous pedals (Boss CH-1, TC Electronic Corona and ADA Flanger).
- Delay/Reverb
Fourteen different types with delay time up to 4 seconds.
