Cheap but complete
The ICD-BX800 is a very cheap digital recorder but with some functions that can be very useful for a fast recording of your ideas, notes, appointments and so on. Obviously, we are speaking about a voice recorder but that can be useful also for musicians that want a small and portable recorder for their ideas with the possibility, for example, of overwriting the recorded audio. A lack of the ICD-BX800 is the absence of the USB port, but the headphones output can be used to transfer files from the recorder to the PC through the microphone input of the PC.

Audio features
I said, at the beginning of this review, that the ICD-BX800 provides some functions, notwithstanding the low price, that can be very useful.
First of all the ICD-BX800 can organize recorded files in five folders. Recording can start and stop automatically according to the input signal. This Sony digital recorder provides some simple editing functions, for example the file can be divided. But the most interesting function, for a so cheap device, is that the user can overwrite the recorded file to correct it.
General opinion
At a so low price the ICD-BX800 can be considered an excellent solution to record quickly ideas or notes. The USB port lack is annoying but files can be transferred to the PC via the headphones output.
