Obviously, in time, they have been brought the working technical modifications, consequence of the technological development, necessary in order to adapt the techniques of construction to the requirements of the modern times.

The job organization, inside the workshop, has demanded numerous changes. A fundamental rule, so that an apprentice can become a qualified technician, is that these is able to realize an entire classical guitar with his own hands. The quality of the job will concur to obtain the qualification of specialized technician. Differently from the past, when an official degree was obtained after the presentation of an instrument entirely made with its own hands, following the rules of the classic tradition, today the degree has been replaced by a kind of official acknowledgment of the quality of the job. What is important for Ramirez, is that the job introduced from an apprentice is direct consequence of his way to conceive the classical guitar, not what wants his “Master”.

The “Master” of the workshop is the person in charge to control that his idea of guitar is realized like it must be, that the process of construction of the instrument follows the rules demanded to a quality job and signs only the guitars considered of exceptional quality. The Ramirez workshops functions in this way from 1882. The year of its foundation.
