Review

Front Panel

The front panel of the '65 Twin Reverb features separate controls for each channel (Normal and Vibrato) and the knobs to modify Reverb level and Vibrato parameters. In addition, the '65 Twin Reverb provides a bright switch, one for each channel and four guitar inputs.

Inputs 1 and 2

The two Inputs 1 provide +6db gain more than inputs 2.

Bright switches

Both channels feature a bright switch, which boosts the high-frequency range. This switch is particularly effective at lower volume settings.

Volume

Each channel features its volume control.

Treble, Middle, Bass

The '65 Twin Reverb features a separate equalization section for each channel.

Reverb

The level of the Reverb. This control functions only for the Vibrato channel.

Vibrato

The Vibrato effect provides two controls for effect parameters.

Speed

This control adjusts the rate of the Vibrato effect. If the footswitch is not plugged in, the Vibrato effect will not function. The footswitch is optional, but if you want to use all the functions of the '65 Twin Reverb, you have to buy it.

Intensity

Like its name suggests, this control adjusts the intensity of the Vibrato.

Rear Panel

Power Switch

The main power switch of the '65 Twin Reverb.

Standby Switch

Use this switch during your breaks, and not the Power switch. This will prolong tubes life.

Main Speaker

This is the jack for the onboard speakers of the '65 Twin Reverb.

External Speaker

The jack to connect an external speaker to the '65 Twin Reverb.

Footswitch

The optional footswitch, but necessary for the Vibrato effect, must be connected to this jack.

Sound

The '65 Twin Reverb is a legend between Fender amplifiers and this Reissue doesn't disappoint. The '65 Twin Reverb sounds great. Sound is warm, fat and absolutely smooth. Much smooth. The two Jensen C-12K make a great job, this is sure, but not only. Fender worked very much to preserve the original circuitry of the first '65 Twin Reverb and the effect is amazing.

Conclusions

The '65 Twin Reverb provides the clean sound and the Reverb that made Fender amps famous in the world. After you buy this amp is difficult that you say "I need another amp!". The cost, approximately 1350 Euros is a great price. This is my opinion, but i'm sure about this. The '65 Twin Reverb is a great amp.
